This product is unique and classified marine chemicals to use on ships and oil field area.  Its unique powerful rust dissolving formula makes mariner rust cleaning job easy and chemically more effective. As Metal Clean Bright not only clean rust, but also neutralizing rust and producing rust free and chemically treated surface.

Chemically it is proved that after cleaning of rust from Metal Clean Bright, paint adhere property on metal base will increase. This will increase paint life. While paint bonding is not so powerful on manual rust cleaning process.

Metal Clean Bright HD is a rust cleaning acidic detergent with powerful emulsifier and passivator which is effectively dissolving rust and stain from surface.

In general terms and thumb rule for Metalic Brightner HD is MORE RUST required more Metalic Brightner HD. Chemically Rust { iron oxide (FeO) } is soluble in pH values below 4.0, . Thus, the oxide (oxygen) dissolves as it is formed instead of depositing on the metal's surface. So it is clear more rust required more Metalic Brightner HD to get dissolve. In practical if the area is fully rusted corroded then direct Metalic Brightner HD can be used to dissolve rust particles, while in light contaminated part Metalic Brightner HD can be diluted in between 20 to 70% . 
 
2nd factor is the time which is directly affecting the cleaning result. If base metal is aluminium then use Metalic Brightner HD concentration 10 to 30% for not more then 5 Minutes. For removal of rust stains on painted or iron surfaces, use 10–30%  of Metalic Brightner HD soultion for 15–20 minutes. And for heavily rusted and corroded or soiled surfaces and tarnish on copper and brass, use a solution of 20–50%, for 15–40 minutes.
 
The 3rd important point always be noted, After cleaning of rust from Metalic Brightner HD all area should be fully rinsed and clean properly with fresh water. And for best long time result to keep rust free surface, Surface can be chemically neutralized with RXSOL-41-8896-025 ( dilution ration 1 Ltr RXSOL-41-8896-025 with 10 Ltr water ). The scientific reason behind that is  As With the Rust oxide gone with Metalic Brightner HD, the metal surface is in direct contact with the acidic solution, and the corrosion reaction proceeds at a greater rate than it does at higher pH values. For increasing pH values greater than pH 10, the rusting rate seems to fall as pH is increased with help of RXSOL-41-8896-025.

Using-Procedure    

Spraying This can be beneficial as part of the initial cleaning process after the carriage of Lube oils and Lube oil additives.  As soon as the tank in question has been checked empty by the attending surveyor, RXSOL-20-2029-020 Plus should be sprayed over all surfaces which are safely reacheable.
Portable machines – After 45 minutes the butterworth machines should be operated for 3 x 20 minutes drops using warm 60o C, then the machines brought back to the top and a full hot wash 80 – 85 o C should be carried out for at least 6 hours.
Fixed machines – Wash ambient for 45 minutes followed by warm water for one cycle before increasing to hot (80oC) for 4 hours.
Injection  – This can be carried out by injecting RXSOL-20-2029-020 Plus into the butterworth system after the heater.  A normal amount to use would be 100 – 150 liters during the initial washing cycle.  Water temperature should be 60o C during the injection period then brought up to 80 – 85 o C for the full washing period.
Re-circulation

– Possibly the best result are achieved by re-circulating a solution of RXSOL-20-2029-020 Plus after the initial rough washing of the tank.  A sufficient amount of fresh water to maintain good suction should be heated  to 60 o C and approximately 420 liters of RXSOL-20-2029-020  Plus (2 drums) added for each 500 liters of fresh water.  The temperature of the mixture can be increased depending upon  the melting point if the product being cleaned.  The solution should be circulated for at least 4 hours and the butterworth machines operated at maximum pressure in all areas of the tank  throughout this process.  If a number of tanks are to be circulated, then a substantial quantity of solution can be made so that transfers can be made without delay and any small amounts lost will not affect the operation.  Normally following transfer to another tank, 100 liters RXSOL-20-2029-020 Plus is added for each 5000 liters of solution.  This is called “spiking”.
