Using Procedure:
  In aqueous solution, bromocresol green will ionize to give the monoanionic form (yellow), that further deprotonates at higher  pH to give the dianionic form (blue), which is stabilized by resonance The acid dissociation constant (pKa) of this reaction 
Note:
 Between pH values of 3.8 and 5.4 it appears green. The dye is only sparingly soluble in water, so it may be dissolved in ethanol or certain organic solvents
