RXSOL Sodium Hypochlorite is a chlorine-based chemical widely used in household cleaning, surface disinfection, and selected sanitation applications. When formulated at an appropriate concentration and used according to product instructions, it can help remove stains, control odours, and disinfect compatible surfaces.
RXSOL offers chemical solutions for domestic, commercial, and industrial cleaning requirements, subject to product grade and availability.
A 12% solution is widely used in waterworks for the chlorination of water and a 15% solution is more commonly used for disinfection of waste water in treatment plants. High-test hypochlorite (HTH) is sold for chlorination of swimming pools and contains approximately 30% calcium hypochlorite. The crystalline salt is also sold for the same use; this salt usually contains less than 50% of calcium hypochlorite. However, the level of active chlorine may be much higher.
Application
Household Applications of Sodium Hypochlorite
1. Bathroom and Toilet Cleaning
Sodium hypochlorite solutions can help disinfect compatible toilet bowls, bathroom floors, and selected washable surfaces.
2. Floor and Surface Disinfection
Appropriately diluted solutions may be used on compatible, non-porous surfaces according to the product label.
3. Laundry and Stain Removal
Suitable formulations can help whiten white fabrics and remove certain stains. Always check fabric compatibility and follow garment-care instructions.
4. Drain and Sanitation Applications
Selected sodium hypochlorite formulations are used in sanitation and odour-control applications where permitted by the product label.
5. General Household Hygiene
It may be suitable for selected household cleaning tasks when the concentration, application method, and contact time follow the manufacturer's instructions.

HANDLING AND STORAGE PRECAUTIONS:
Do not store adjacent to chemicals that may react if spillage occurs. Comply with Oman regulations, when shipped. If closed containers become heated, vent to release decomposition products (mainly oxygen under normal decomposition). Do not mix or contaminate with ammonia, hydrocarbons, acids, alcohol or ethers.
DO NOT REUSE CONTAINERS: Product residues may remain in containers. All labeled precautions MUST be observed. Dispose of container in a manner meeting government regulations.
PRODUCT DISPOSAL: Product should be completely removed from containers. Material that cannot be used or chemically reprocessed should be disposed of, in a manner meeting government regulations.
